Book Keeping as a foundation for Accountants PDF Print E-mail

Book keepers are individuals who record the day-to-day financial transactions of an organization. A bookkeeper is usually responsible for writing the "daybooks." The daybooks consist of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The bookkeeper is responsible for ensuring all transactions are recorded in the correct day book, supplier ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.

The bookkeeper brings the books to the trial balance stage. The CPA can then prepare the income statement and balance sheet using the trial balance and ledgers prepared by the bookkeeper.  The bookkeeper there plays a very important role in the accounting process.
The ATC program provides the training and skills required for one to become a bookkeeper.
For any book keeper, the ATC program is the route to obtaining in-demand skills in and a professional status that they can be proud of.
