The qualification is one of the best across the globe having been developed by and benchmarked with one of the oldest professional accounting organization in the world – the institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). It follows the Accounting Education Standards issued by the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB), a body of IFAC

Holders of CPA Uganda qualification are eligible for admission to any commonwealth university for an MBA programme. They are also exempted from a number of papers for the certified fraud examinations course.

The CPA qualification has four (4) levels with 16 papers to complete. The first level has 7 papers, 5 papers in level II, 3 papers for level III and one paper for the last level. The last paper, Integration of Knowledge is attempted only when you have completed all papers on the lower levers. It helps candidates put to use all the previous subjects studies similar to what one experiences in the work environment.
