The qualification is one of the best across the globe having been developed by and benchmarked with one of the oldest professional accounting organization in the world – the institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS). It follows the Accounting Education Standards issued by the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB), a body of IFAC
Holders of CPA Uganda qualification are eligible for admission to any commonwealth university for an MBA programme. They are also exempted from a number of papers for the certified fraud examinations course.
The CPA qualification has four (4) levels with 16 papers to complete. The first level has 7 papers, 5 papers in level II, 3 papers for level III and one paper for the last level. The last paper, Integration of Knowledge is attempted only when you have completed all papers on the lower levers.
