The ICPAU financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards aim at recognizing achievements in financial reporting across the main sectors of the Ugandan economy. The Awards are bestowed to recognise the crucial importance that financial reporting plays in decision making processes of majority of stakeholders in the economy and beyond. There is no doubt that good financial communication have an important role to play in providing investors with data, intelligence and tactical assurance they need to contemplate investing in Uganda. The ICPAU fire awards’ objectives include the following; The ICPAU FiRe Awards are open to all organisations that produce annual reports. Each annual report is judged against itself, based on its success in communicating its organisation’s story. In order to be accepted for evaluation, the annual reports should cover any financial period ending within the year before the awards year. |
