CPA Alfred is a full member of ICPAU since 2000.
CPA Alfred is currently a member of the ICPAU Projects Management Committee and a Chairperson of the Projects Technical Sub-Committee overseeing the construction on Plot 42 Bukoto Street, Kololo.
He is also the Chairperson of the negotiation committee of ICPAU for the purchase of ICPAU land for the construction of an examination centre. He is a member of Planning and Development Committee and previously served on the Finance Committee of ICPAU.
He also chaired the Bid Evaluation Committee for the evaluation of bids for detailed design for proposed ICPAU headquarters and a member of the Lubowa Master plan project committee.
Alfred’s motivation for nomination steps from a deep commitment to advancing the profession of accountancy in Uganda and in advancing the life of CPAs beyond the numbers. With over 25 years of diverse experience in auditing, accounting, consultancy, investment, procurement management and leadership, Alfred has consistently demonstrated a passion for professional excellence and ethical conduct
Having consistently served the Institute on several Committees, Alfred has developed a good understanding of the operations and operational challenges and strategic opportunities facing ICPAU and has a well-grounded understanding of the processes to enhance the potential and robustness of ICPAU.
If elected, Alfred’s main objective is centred on three strategic pillars i.e. professional excellence, institutional sustainability and member empowerment beyond the numbers.
As a member Partner of BIZ & Co, the firm won the 2022 ICPAU Accounting firm of the year award. Alfred also advocated for good policies under the CPA SACCO that helps members including the finalists and pre-final students in the SACCO. He also advocated for a product of mortgages for members under the CPA SACCO that has enhanced member financial empowerment.
Alfred advocates for business ethics, corporate governance and student mentorship, through community initiatives and school board leadership. He has delivered training sessions and attended ICPAU workshops and seminars.
His career includes leadership and professional roles in multinational corporations. He is Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst and completed his professional training more than 20 years ago. He brings advanced knowledge in financial management, audit and compliance, public procurement, corporate governance among others. He is a skilled communicator and ethical leader and his expertise also spans sectors such as Oil & Gas, Agriculture and investment management.
