
CPA Robinah Nabwire is a full member of ICPAU since 2008.
Robinah’s aspiration to become a Council member is driven by her desire to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the Institute. She aims to advocate for continuous professional development, promote ethical standards and strengthen stakeholder engagements within the accountancy profession. Her motivation also stems from the deep commitment to the profession, a desire to positively impact the accountancy profession and a passion for leadership and advocacy.
Her objectives are to advocate for professionalism, advancing professional development and education of members, serving the community and promoting public interest, fostering membership engagements and contributing to strategic development and governance.
Over the years, Robinah has mentored up-coming accountants through practical experience training which has enhanced their skills and competencies. She has also provided business advisory and consultancy services to various SMEs in Uganda.
Robinah’s expertise in both public and private sector management over the years equips her with a deep understanding of accounting and audit. Beyond her accounting role, she serves on the Board of African SOUP-NGO and the Audit and Quality Assurance Board of Central Busoga Diocese. Her role on these boards involves financial oversight and strategic planning, providing her with governance experience.
Besides her CPA qualification, Robinah holds a Masters degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting and Finance from the Heriot-Watt University of Scotland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Makerere University Business School.
She is currently serving at Uganda Investment Authority as the Director Finance and Administration since May 2024. She previously served as Chief Finance Officer- Mukono District. She also served in Finance and Internal Audit roles in Iganga District Local Government, Bugiri Town Council, Masese Girls S.S and Kyabazinga College.
