OVERVIEW
The seminar will provide guidance to participants on preparation of general purpose financial statements using key International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs). In addition, the seminar also examines the practical issues and challenges associated with the preparation of a complete set of financial statements.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Prepare a statement of financial position, statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income, and statement of changes in equity from the trial balance.
- Identify related notes and include this information in the financial statements
- Identify the framework behind financial statements and the requirements for different entities.
- Identify the key themes of IAS 1 Presentation of Financial Statements

- Financial Instruments
- Contingent Liabilities and Commitments
- Disclosure of standards issued not yet effective
- Interests in Other Investments
