About the Programme

The ICPAU Student Scholarship Programme (SSP) is a financial aid programme for students who desire to study the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) course. It was launched in 2019 and so far, seventy (70) beneficiaries have been awarded.

The programme is open to all Bachelor’s degree holders from any discipline/ background. Applicants must possess qualifications awarded by public universities or private chartered universities as recognised by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

The scholarship package covers all ICPAU-related costs such as registration, annual renewal, examination fees and study material.

Eligibility

1. Did you complete your Bachelor’s Degree programme in 2025?
2. Did you attain a First Class or Second Class Honours – Upper Division grade?

Must Haves

Please have the following handy before you begin your application

1. A 300-word essay titled, Why I desire to become a professional accountant

          Your essay should meet the following criteria:

• Proper essay with a clear format
• Focus on the topic
• Adequate content as specified by the word limit
• Strict observance of the word limit
• Non-internet or Artificial Intelligence-based essays
• Strict observance of originality

2. Academic transcript

Terms and Conditions of the Student Scholarship Programme

• Students are expected to complete the CPA course within 2.5 years from the time of registration.
• The scholarship will not be applied for re-sitting a paper.
