The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) has announced the release of the results for the November 2023 examinations diet of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). The announcement was made by the Chairperson of PAEB, CPA Prof. Laura Orobia on 3 January 2024 at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz.

INSTITUTE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS OF UGANDA (ICPAU) HANDS OVER THE ASSESSMENT OF ACCOUNTING TECHNICIANS DIPLOMA TO UBTEB
Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited (SUHL) won the Gold Award at the 13th edition of the Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards.
According to the FiRe Awards evaluators, the SUHL report captured the entity’s clear focus on sustainable growth as well as achievements against Environmental Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) commitments.
SUHL won two other awards at the FiRe Awards and received two certificates of recognition, as follows:

Mr. Paul Bwiso, the CEO of the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) has commended listed companies for their proactive approach to financial reporting and their commitment to Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) guidelines.
"We've set ESG guidelines for our listed companies, and we commend their proactive approach to financial reporting,” stated Mr. Bwiso.
