CPA Timothy David Ediomu is a full member of ICPAU since 2006
He is greatly motivated by the desire to give back to the profession and professional body that has greatly shaped him as a professional and contributed to his development as a person. He also wishes to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the profession in Uganda especially since he actively participated in the development of the current strategic plan of the Institute.
CPA Ediomu has the desire to mentor and support the growth and development of young accountants by participating in the governance structure of the Institute and to promote the public interest and ethics in the profession.
His main objective is to increase visibility of the CPA brand nationwide and also contribute to the overall development of the accountancy profession in the country. He wishes to promote digital transformation within the profession starting with SMPs and contribute to addressing the unique challenges faced by SMPs around compliance and regulation.
He also wishes to promote CPA as a premium accountancy profession in the country as well as champion the recruitment of new members in order to increase the voice of qualified accountants in the Country.
CPA Ediomu has impactfully served on Council and various Committees of Council (Finance, Planning & Administration, Projects Management, Events Management, Member Services and Marketing Committees) with distinction and consistency. He has chaired the Finance, Planning & Administration Committee of Council and oversaw a number of activities like the launch of the re-development of Plot 42 Bukoto Street, Kololo and the 2024-2028 ICPAU Strategic Plan.
As a partner at Ediomu and Company since 2006, Timothy has been a consistent sponsor of ICPAU activities for over a decade and has sponsored and continues to sponsor students to the CPA Course as a pipeline to membership. He has also mentored a number of accountants.
Timothy worked as a Finance Director at UKI Uganda Limited between 2000- 2005. Previously, Timothy served as Auditor and Audit Assistant at Kassim Lakha Abdulla (now PKF Uganda) and Dalal & Associates respectively.
Besides his professional accountancy training, Timothy has an ongoing MBA at ESAMI and holds certificates in Data Analysis, Financial Modelling & Analysis, and Business Risk Management from the University of Cape Town.
