VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

ICPAU is the national professional accountancy body in Uganda, established by the Accountants Act in 1992, now the Accountants Act 2013. The Institute is mandated to:

 

  • Regulate and maintain the Standard of Accountancy in Uganda.

  • Prescribe and regulate the conduct of accountants and practising accountants in Uganda.

 

The Institute seeks to recruit dynamic, visionary, courteous, self-driven, energetic and committed professionals of high integrity who can bring expertise in their fields, to fill the following positions:

JOB ROLE

  1.  

PUBLIC POLICY OFFICER

 

The job holder is responsible for undertaking initiatives to ensure proactive stakeholder engagement and advocacy for enhanced visibility and recognition of ICPAU; executing strategies designed to advance ICPAU’s public policy goals; identifying key public policy issues in relation to the economy and the accountancy profession; and contributing to Uganda’s legislative framework to incorporate good governance and accountability.

ASSISTANT QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER

(2 POSITIONS)

The job holder ensures that the requirements set by Statement of Membership Obligation 1 (SMO 1) are complied with. The Assistant Quality Assurance officer will also be responsible for Licensing, Inspections and CPD compliance.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

 

The job holder will identify and solicit business opportunities for ICPAU and assist management in resource mobilisation, identifying and executing investment opportunities.

EXAMINATIONS OFFICER

(3 POSITIONS)

The job holder’s priority handle examinations related work.

RESEARCH OFFICER

The job holder’s priority is to steer the research agenda of the Institute.

MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER- IT SYSTEMS

 

The Job holder monitors and maintains the computer systems and networks of ICPAU. The job holder installs and configures computer systems, diagnoses hardware and software faults and solves technical and applications problems.
